Our Programs

The children's programs at Ashland Child Development are specifically designed to meet the needs and interests of our babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary students.

We have an entire building dedicated to our babies and toddlers separate from our older children. These custom-designed rooms help us provide a safe environment that best supports these younger children.

In addition to our learning curriculum, we love to play! Children learn best through hands-on, fun activities. Free play and other activities help children learn to express themselves. Weather permitting, we try to get our children outside every day. Outside play is an important part of development.

Special Needs

Our staff is committed to providing the best quality care for each of our children. We work with parents to determine what is best for each child. We can work with most developmental and physical issues requiring special accommodations. If we cannot safely and effectively meet your child's needs for care, we work with you to find alternative care.

If needed, we can refer parents to First Steps Kentucky for help with speech, physical and occupational therapies. For children already participating in these and other therapy programs, Ashland Child Development can work with your child's therapist to visit them while at the center. We have rooms available for therapy sessions.

Our buildings are fully handicapped accessible for parents, teachers, and children. We will work with families to accommodate any disabilities to the fullest extent possible. Contact us for more information regarding your specific situation.

Safety First

The safety and well-being of our children are always our top priority. We maintain teacher-student ratios that meet or exceed the state's requirements. Our goal is to provide the best quality of care possible for our children.

All of our facilities are equipped with safety features, including fire alarms and sprinklers, as well as security systems. Parents and other visitors must be given access to the building by a staff member. Check-in and check-out procedures also help us ensure that children are kept safe.
